Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Are you an agency?

A. No, we are a 501c3 nonprofit run by a group of volunteers. We do help agencies and orphanages find homes for their special needs and harder to place children. Just think of us as a middle person. Once we find the family you are referred to the agency. We do like to stay in touch with our families and are happy to help them with any questions they have. All our volunteers are adoptive moms from the countries they are coordinators in. And we do not charge the agencies or the families for our services.

Q. Do you have to be Christian to adopt the kids on your site?

A. We personally do not set any criteria for the families we talk to. Each agency and country has their own criteria that will have to be met. You will need to check the individual agency and country requirements.

Q. Do we offer grants?

A. At this time we do not offer grants to families. Some children have grants but they are child specific (they stay with the child) and are given by the agencies.

Q. Do you endorse agencies and people you work with?

A. Since we are an all volunteer org. we are very picky about who we help. All agencies have to meet our criteria before we will list any children for them. We have withdrawn association from agencies in the past if we encounter problems with or if families were having problems with them. While we state that, you still need to research all agencies before you sign their contract.

Q. Some children were matched on your site and are now back on, why?

A. Some families get anxious when they first see a child's picture and move foward without thinking and than change their minds. That is the most common reason you will see children reappear on our site.

Q. Why do I have to have a password to access part of the site?

A. Due to country restrictions, some countries do not allow public listings of children. We help protect their privacy by using the password protection.

Q. I filled out an application and did not recieve a confirmation email.

A. We do check all the information on the forms. If the form is incomplete or the information cannot be verified your application will not be processed. Due to the number of applications we get we no longer send out emails asking for more info.

Q. How long does it take to process our applications?

A. Due to a streamlined process and some very saavy volunteers, they are being turned around in one week. If you do not recieve a confirmation email within 7 days please send an email Fami.

Q. How do you "find" your coordinators?

A. All of our coordinators are adoptive moms to special needs children in the regions they are coordinators in. So our EE coordinator has adopted children from somewhere in EE and knows the process. We want our coordinators to be able to answer any questions parents might have and it helps to have someone who has "been there, done that."

Q. I emailed a coordinator about a child and did not hear from them.

A. If you do not hear from our coordinator within 48 hours please email Ann. Exceptions would be a weekend or holiday. Most of our coordinators will email you back within 24 hours but again, all have special needs children that require their attention too!

Q. How often do you update your site?

A. We try to update weekly, due to us all being moms and the time it takes for agencies to get us updated information, sometimes it takes a little longer than that.

Q. How can I be a family of the month?

A. If you have found and adopted a child that was on our site, we would love to hear and post your story. Please email Ann.

Q. We are an agency and would like to list some of our kids.

A. Please contact Ann for more information.
