Djoulissa is back in our care after being with her mom for a few months. Djoulissa first came to us the beginning of 2008 for two months. She has club feet and needed casting changes weekly that her mom couldn't afford. She has since had surgery and will be starting castings again soon. She is also developmentally behind and we are unsure of her future prognosis. Whoever adopts this little girl will need to know she could be a lot of care.

We are saddened by the news of Edison's passing. Please remember Edison and those who cared for him in your thoughts & prayers.

Reese is a sweet little boy who is new to our creche. He has adjusted well and we know he will do wonderfully. We cant wait until he can be in a forever family. He is HIV+, but his CD4 count does not require him to be on ARV's.

babya2yo
Alix  is a fun loving little guy who likes to act goofy, but is also very cuddly. He is HIV+ and taking ARV's. He is doing very well in these medications.  He also loves to help give the other kids their medications.

Four Year Old Boy
Birth date: July 19, 2004

This little fellow with the big smile has loads of personality and a sweet disposition, but has been slowed down by cerebral palsy. He is unable to sit, hold his head up or crawl. He is a happy and content little boy who loves to watch the other children in his room play. It must be so hard for him to watch them and not be able to join in the fun. His favorite time is meal time and he gets upset when his food is gone, no matter how much he eats. He probably loves the attention he receives during meal time! He has a smile for anyone willing to play with him and tickle him. He desperately needs a family and he is in such need of the therapies he deserves in order to reach his full potential. Please conatct Sarah for more information on this precious little boy.

Joshua Approx. 18 - 24 mo.

"Joshua" was abandoned outside the hospital gates in CAP. A nurse found him and brought him inside. No one knows anything about him (age, name or anything). He has CP and is very underweight at the moment, but just in the short time he has been at our place, he has gained weight very quickly. There was a physical therapist visiting when he was admitted and they think he has great potential so we are excited to see how he improves. Please contact Sarah for more information.

Caleb DOB: 9-20-06

Caleb was brought to us by his mother and father a while back. We sent them home with some things to help care for him as they wanted to keep him.. They both love him dearly and are caring for him the best they can but with his CP its becoming more difficult and they know that his life in Haiti will not be ideal. They have decided they would like him adopted. We dont know his full abilities yet. We are still getting to know this little guy. He is having a hard time away from his mom, but I know he will adjust quickly. Please contact Sarah for more information.

Emanuel & Lucson

Emanuel & Lucson are brothers who are 10 and 7 years old. What beautiful smiles and eyes these boys have! We would love to find them a family together. They are living at a good orphanage that has small homes with "foster moms" who care for them. We would love to find them a forever family soon as they have been waiting far too long! Please contact Sarah for more information!

Jessica

Jessica was born in April of 2007. Isn't she darling? She was born to an HIV positive mother and is testing positive at this time. There is a chance that she could actually be HIV negative. HIV is now a very treatable disease and HIV orphans are desperately in need of loving families. She is getting excellent care at the orphanage where she is at which is giving her the good start that she needs. We would love to find her family soon! Please contact Sarah for more information!

Henri (no DOB but approx. 3 years old)

Henri was abandoned in front of the clinic - the judge gave him the name Henri, but no last name - they say he's about 2-3 years old - he just had surgery to have a shunt put in for Hydrocephalus around September '07 & he's doing great... even walking - the American doctor that put the shunt in, said his head size won't go down, but will never get bigger. Henri is living and being cared for right now at the clinic and we hope to find his family soon! Please contact Sarah for more info.

Sherlene, DOB: January 29th, 2006

The little angel below is Sherlene. Sherlene was born on January 29th, 2006. She is currently testing positive for HIV. Sherlene is receiving excellent care at her creche in Port au Prince. She is just a lovely baby who needs a loving forever family. Sherlenes adoptive family would need a good health insurance policy to care for her medical condition. Contact Sarah for more information.

Lovensky

This little guy is Lovensky. He currently resides with his mother in a very poor area of PAP. His mother can not longer care for him and has made an adoption plan. When he has an adoptive family he will be moved to the creche. He has some yet undetermined special needs. Currently at the age of 3 he cannot walk. He also has difficulty focusing his eyes. The thought is that he is developmentally delayed to some degree. His DOB is Nov. 29,2003.

If you would like more information, please contact Sarah.

Jimmy : http://www.answeredprayers2.org/jimmy.html

Doesn't Jimmy's smile just captivate your heart? Jimmy was born on September 3, 1998. Jimmy is a ham -- no other way to say it! This boy has a witty and mischievous sense of humor. He loves to make jokes, play clever tricks on his many friends, and charm newcomers with his delightful smile. Jimmy is eager to be adopted and old enough to understand what that means. He has not received much formal education and will need help to catch up with phonics and arithmetic. However, his high intelligence and eagerness to please will make teaching him a most enjoyable task. Jimmy has excellent social skills. His manners are excellent -- Jimmy can be quite the little gentleman! He knows how to make and keep friends, and is quite popular with the other boys. Like any boy his age, he spends a lot of time annoying and teasing the girls. If you would like more information, please contact Sarah.

Steevenson: http://www.answeredprayers2.org/steevenson2.html

Steevenson born December 2004 (exact date not known) is a very special little boy. Steevenson has a happy disposition, he is always rolling over and laughing. Steevenson nearly died before he came to us. He was very malnourished. He is doing fine now.

Since Steevenson's arrival in October of 2005 he has made great strides. Steevenson can now walk, however he continues to have trouble controlling his movements, at first many believed Steevenson suffered from Cerebral Palsy, but those who have spent some time with Steevenson and have observed his progress in muscle tone, gross motor skills, and mobility now question this. Steevenson's voice is different from that of his peers, he doesn't babble the same as many young toddlers do, He makes more of a cooing, gurgling noise; when he cries it is very light.
It is also believed that Steevenson has a form of mental handicap to what extent is not known; despite this Steevenson is very swift and is able to communicate his feelings.

Steevenson would benefit from being examined by a North America physician to diagnose his condition(s). We believe that with the right therapy Steevenson will be a high functioning child. Steevenson's greatest need is an adoptive family that is willing to advocate for him and ensure that he reaches his fullest potential, the love alone of an adoptive family would go far in reaching this. The family who adopts Steevenson must be prepared to accept the fact Steevenson may have some
physical or other unknown handicaps. He is currently living with a missionary in Kenscoff.

From a Recent Visitor: "Steevenson is truly a little gift.  He is so precious and has such a beautiful temperament.  When I held him and rubbed his back he would nestle right into me and make a beautiful cooing noise in enjoyment when I stopped he would take my hand and would put it back on his back as if to tell me not to stop.  He is climbing and walking assisted by pushing ride on toys and walking around things.  I would say he will be walking unassisted in no time at all.  He will
do great in a stimulating home and I believe he will be a high functioning child with developmental delays.  Steevenson desperately needs parents ASAP.  He needs the extra love and attention only a family can provide to reach all of his potential.  When his family finds him I know they will just love and adore his beautiful personality and the gift that he is. " If you would like more information, please contact Sarah.

Peter & Peterson http://www.answeredprayers2.org/peter.html

Twins! Peter and Peterson are deeply attached identical twins with many
similarities. Both are shy, quiet boys with a surprising athletic
talent. They both listen well and are quite obedient. Both seem to be
intelligent, although Peter tends to do the talking for both of them. If you would like more information, please contact Sarah.
