Meet one of our UAHH Families! |

Welcome Home Ms. Anna!
Ms. Anna came home to America on August 13, 2005. I always tell everyone that she fit into our family like a soft, smooth bowl of vanilla ice cream. She has been a delightful baby from the start. She knew us and knew about us seems like from the beginning. She especially loved her daddy, which is unusual in most orphaned children...but not Anna, she is still a daddy's girl. We knew she was special from the time we met...our first play time together, I offered her cheerios and instead of eating them herself, she offered them to everyone in the room first...then and there I knew that God had given us a child that had a wonderful spirit. When she came home we danced a lot to foster bonding between mother and daughter. She wasn't too keen on hugging, just wanted to run around more than anything. We have danced every nap and every bedtime for almost a year now. My back is stronger for it, my c.d. player is wearing out as we speak and the c.d.s that we listen to need to be replaced due to repeating them over and over and over. She loves her momma and she loves to give kisses now. She loves the moon and stars, and we talk nightly about who made them, and that He made them for her...I believe that when she touches my face in the dark, it is truly God touching me instead. She amazes us at every turn and we love her dearly. It sounds cliche, but I cannot imagine my life without her. Being a second time mother, I have forgotten the sweet sounds of a childs call, and when I'm away from them, I miss it...God is a good God!
She doesn't miss anyone's names and can remember them better than I can...good for me, as when I get older she can help! Our oldest daughter and her husband actually decided to have a child based on their first encounter with Anna...they could not believe how smart she was, and I believe it gave them hope...she is now 6 months pregnant...God is good isn't he? Her older sisters, Nina and Maria, have had to grow through her coming into our family, we have had the regular jealousy of siblings, but I believe that her tender and enthusiastic heart will draw us all closer as we get older. She is a blessing and a gift that I can only thank God for with every breath.
She is beautiful, funny, smart, but most of all loves Jesus...you should hear her pray. She decided yesterday that she liked the nickname "Angel" the best...and that she is!
