Child of the Month

    URGENT SITUATION

Eastern Europe: Girl, 8 year old

Thank you so much for your genrous donations. We have been able to raise over $850 thus far for Vika's Miracle Grant. Thank you!!! Please continue to keep her in your prayers!

I have the most incredible girl to tell you about.  I honestly can not say enough good things about this child and her sweet personality.  ALL who have met her wanted to bring her home when they met their other children but it was not possible.  'V' is a sweetheart and desperately needs a family to love her.  She has waited way too long and as you know, the older they get, the harder they are to place.  Her fees have been reduced to try to help her forever family find her.  She has strabismus and a leg length difference.
Her development and mental capacity is on target.

This child holds a special place in my heart for more than one reason.  And if we had the funds, I can assure you, we'd bring her back in  a heartbeat! Since we do not, we are advocating the best way we know how to find her family that we know is out there.  'V' happened to be my daughter's best friend at the orphanage.  Well, really more like a sister than a friend.  I have heard 'V' stories since the day we brought Alyona home.  Not kidding.
I guess I should explain some to give you more of an idea of what this incredible girl is like.  My daughter, Alyona, has a probable form of dwarfism.  She is tiny.  Now, in an orphanage setting, this can work against you.  That is, unless you have a friend like 'V'!  'V' would be more the mothering type not just to my daughter but ALL the more fragile children that could not look out for themselves.  She would help them get dressed if they needed it or protect them from a bully.  'V' is normal in size.  Alyona  & 'V' had seperate beds but chose to sleep together.  AFter the caretaker would leave the room, Alyona would sneak in V's bed and sleep there for the rest of the night.  'V' loves to play in the snow and make snowmen I'm told. Alyona also told me she likes to swim.  But she can not ride a bike too well.  Assuming this may be due to her leg length difference.  She walks w/ a limp due to this and it does cause her some pain.  That can be resolved here w/ proper medical care.  V's favorite color is blue.  She also likes to play w/ Barbies and baby dolls.  -- this was 2 years ago though so she may have moved onto other things as well.  She is obedient and just has a very kind soul.  A person who met her these past few months said she is developmentally fine and would do well in a family.  This lady worked as a developmental teacher for many years so is capable of giving a professional perspective as well as a personal one.  I know it must be hard for 'V' to watch all her friends go and she still be there.  HOwever, her spirit is still strong.  Her 2 best friends have been adopted and I think it is high time for her turn to come around.

I have much more detailed information on this child.  All infectious diseases are negative.  She is healthy other than the strabismus and leg length difference.  I also have pictures of her as well.  I am the contact person for her.  There is also a place on the website to donate via paypal to her adoption.  This will help her find a home more quickly. This young girl in he rshort life has done more acts of kindness and compassion than most do in a lifetime.  Again, anyone interested in her please feel free to email me directly at stephanie@untilallhavehomes  Not everyone is in a position to adopt.  However, the price of coffee at a coffee shop can go a long way toward bringing her home.  This is one girl that truly can go far in life if given the chance.  She is not only kind but studies hard. I am in awe of this young girl and really hope her forever family is reading this right now.  YOu will truly be blessed by her more than you can imagine.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
